Hi, I’m Michelle, and I’m the owner, and head chocolate-eater here at Lilypad VA. For over 10 years I have been providing graphic design and administrative services to owners and managers in small business and local government. It’s my passion to help them bring their ideas and visions to life, enabling them to grow their business, and fulfil their goals.
I grew up in outback Western Australia. After leaving school I pursued career working with animals. I had the honour of working with some beautiful native and exotic animals, in pet stores, and as a wildlife demonstrator. Later, I dedicated my time to rehabilitating sick and injured wildlife. Alongside caring for the beautiful animals along the way, I developed other skillsets relating to graphic design and administration that proved to be very useful when working for small business. I had good relationship with my bosses, and loved watching the passion for their business fuel its success. It was a privilege to work with them, and it was here that I learned the true value of teamwork, and working as a unit to bring dreams to reality.
Following the arrival of my two children, I decided to take a step back from working with animals. This is where the seed of my business was planted. I had skills. I had experience. I had the passion to help business owners succeed. I knew that I wanted to mesh it altogether into a strong and steady business. In July 2019, after several years of working with some existing clients, Lilypad VA was born.
